Captain Emma Johnson was the guest speaker at 3 Coffee Mornings in South Queensland in April 2016.

The theme of these events was "Let My Love Open The Door To Your Heart."

In this presentation Emma provides insightful information about the Refugee and Asylum seeker issue.   She gives examples of how connections are being made with refugees in the community of Bundamba where she is engaged in ministry.

Emma also promotes the Divisional Project for Salvos Women in Queensland – Project Leviticus 19:34.

Women's groups in Corps throughout Queensland are being encouraged to put together one Settlement Pack containing specific household items. Where possible the pack is to be distributed in the local community of each corps to a refugee family. Where this is not possible, the settlement packs can be collected by visiting Divisional staff to pass on to Emma who will re-direct the packs to where they can be used.
