Link to Suicide Prevention e-Learning - Hope for Life
The "Question, Persuade and Refer' (QPR) training was written by Dr Paul Quinnett, PhD, a clinical psychologist and trainer with over 35 years experience. At the heart of the training is very much those three simple steps - question, persuade and refer - that anyone can quickly learn to help save a life from suicide.
QPR Training includes:
• Myths and facts about suicide
• Some warning signs of suicide
• How to apply QPR
• How to offer hope and support
QPR training can be accessed through the online Gatekeeper course (see link) and will take approximately one hour to complete.
This course is provided free of charge to residents of Australia only. To access the course you will need to create a free account with Hope for Life, Salvation Army.
